RoHS is a mandatory standard formulated by EU legislation. Its full name is the restriction of hazardous substances, which is mainly used to regulate the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products, making it more conducive to human health and environmental protection. ROHS certification is required for battery products to enter Europe.

Battery ROHS test items

The entry of batteries into the EU requires compliance with ROHS directives and battery ROHS test items

Lead (PB): ≤ 0.1%;

Mercury (Hg): ≤ 0.1%;

Cadmium (CD): ≤ 0.01%;

Hexavalent chromium (CR VI): ≤ 0.1%;

Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs): ≤ 0.1%;

Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs): ≤ 0.1%;

Dihexyl phthalate (2-ethylhexyl) ester (DEHP): ≤ 0.1%;

Toluene butyl phthalate (BBP): ≤ 0.1%;

Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): ≤ 0.1%;

Diisobutyl phthalate (DiBP): ≤ 0.1%

Battery RoHS detection method

1. Chemical testing;

Chemical detection is based on each homogeneous sampling, pretreatment, digestion and test, and the data is accurate

2. XRF scanning total Pb, CD, Hg, Cr, br;

XRF scanning is an abstract definition of the sample material by using XRF scanner to judge whether it contains five elements. If the sample composition is uneven, it is invalid;

3. Chemical detection +xrf scanning;

For the ROHS test of finished products of customers, split multiple homogeneous tests. In order to save money, first use XRF scanning to determine whether there are elements, and then test according to the process of chemical test when there is data.

4. RoHS report integration;

When the customer can provide the RoHS report of each homogeneous material in the finished product, it can be integrated into the finished product RoHS report; 

5. RoHS certificate;

Each homogeneous material of the product conforms to ROHS standard, and RoHS certificate can be issued.

6.ROHS logo

RoHS compliance of electronic and electrical equipment shall be included in CE mark requirements.
