What is Japanese VCCI certification

VCCI is the EMC certification mark of Japan, which is managed by the Japan electromagnetic interference control committee. VCCI certification is not mandatory, but information technology products sold in Japan are generally required to undergo VCCI certification. Manufacturers should first apply to become members of VCCI before they can use the VCCI logo. In order to obtain VCCI approval, the provided EMI test report must be signed and issued by the test institution registered and approved by VCCI. Japan currently has no immunity standards.

Necessity of VCCI certification

Although VCCI certification is not mandatory, it is adopted by many companies to prove the quality of products. Therefore, vcco certification is only "voluntary" in theory, and market pressure makes it implemented in practice.

VCCI certification process

1. The manufacturer or agent shall submit an oral or written preliminary application to the certification company.

2. the applicant shall fill in the application form and send the application form, product instructions and technical documents to the certification company. If necessary, the applicant shall also require the application company to provide a prototype.

3. the certification company shall draw up a scheme and make a quotation.

4. The applicant confirms the quotation, signs back the quotation, and sends the samples and relevant technical documents to the certification company.

5. The applicant shall provide technical documents.

6. the certification company sends a charge notice to the applicant. The applicant shall prepay the certification fee according to the charge notice.

7. the certification company reviews the technical documents and organizes relevant certification activities.

8. if the technical documents are incomplete or do not use the specified language, the certification company will notify the applicant for improvement.

9. If the test fails, the certification company will timely notify the applicant and decide whether to suspend the project according to the situation, allowing the applicant to improve the product. The applicant shall change the technical data in the original application to reflect the actual situation after the change.

10. For the rectification costs involved in Articles 9 and 10 on this page, the certification company will issue a supplementary charge notice to the applicant.

11. the applicant shall pay the rectification fee according to the supplementary charge notice.

12. the certification company shall provide the applicant with test reports or technical documents and VCCI compliance certificates.

13. The applicant shall sign the VCCI guarantee self declaration and affix VCCI on the product to mark the scope of VCCI products.

VCCI certified product range

1) Class B equipment refers to the products that must meet the limit requirements of class B and are used in the home environment (the home environment refers to the environment where broadcast and television receivers may be used within 10m away from the information technology equipment, or can be called the living environment), including: equipment used in no fixed place, such as portable equipment powered by rechargeable batteries; Communication terminal equipment powered by communication network; Personal computers and portable word processors and peripherals connected to them; Fax equipment.
