What is Singapore PSB certification

The Singapore consumer goods Protection Act 1991 designated the Singapore standards, productivity and innovation Commission as the product safety functional body responsible for licensing and registering products covered by the consumer protection (safety requirements) registration scheme (CPS). Only registered products with safety logo can be sold in Singapore. Relevant units responsible for selling regulated goods to consumers in Singapore must register each model with the security authority. When logging in, the certificate and test report must be used to confirm that this model complies with the mandatory product safety label. At present, Singapore only requires security, while it is only a voluntary principle for EMC.

Safety requirements: under the requirements of IEC standards, the products must also meet the tropical condition test, and the Singapore certification must provide the local agent, and the certificate holder is also the local agent. Products can only be sold in Singapore after obtaining PSB.

Certification considerations

1. The certificate holder is a company registered locally in Singapore;

2. No factory inspection and annual fee;

3. The certificate is valid for three years;

4. If the product is a plug-in power supply, the plug shall meet the relevant requirements. For example, the European plug shall meet the requirements of en50075, and the British plug shall meet the requirements of bs1363 or ss246, with relevant plug test reports;

5. There is no series application for product certification, and each certificate can only cover a single model and a trademark;

6. If holding valid CB certificate or report, it is generally unnecessary to provide samples;

7. Certification standard: IEC standard + Singapore difference, or SS standard;

Certification data preparation
