1、 Introduction to CE certification

CE mark is a product safety certification mark. CE stands for conformate Europeenne. CE is a compulsory certification in the EU market. Products that meet the CE certification can be freely circulated in EU Member States.

CE certification is applicable to Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. In addition, some other countries also recognize CE certification.

3、 CE certification mark

The CE mark is the manufacturer's compliance mark, indicating compliance with all current directives.

The European market has packaging regulations for the size of CE mark, in which the height of CE word shall be at least 5mm, the total length of CE word shall not exceed 12mm, and the width of CE font shall not be less than 1/5. The thickness shall be at least 1/5 of the height (at least 20 in this case × 1/5=4mm) as shown in the figure, the peripheral radius is 10mm

4、 CE certification application process

1. the applicant company shall fill in the CE marking application form and provide information: application form, product operation manual and technical documents.

2. evaluate CE certification inspection standards and CE certification inspection items and make quotation.

3. the applicant company shall confirm the project price and arrange the expenses, and the products shall be provided to Shanghai WorldExpo for re inspection.

5. the laboratory shall arrange product testing and review and evaluate the integrity of technical documents.

6. after the product test meets the requirements, provide the product test report or technical construction document (TCF) and CE certificate to the applicant company.

7. the applicant company shall sign the CE guarantee self declaration and affix the CE mark on the product.

5、 CE certification - certificate type

3) EC assessment of conformity is a certificate issued by the notified body (NB). According to EU regulations, only NB is qualified to issue CE declaration of EC type.
