UL certification is a non mandatory certification in the United States, mainly the testing and certification of product safety performance, and its certification scope does not include the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) characteristics of products. Although UL certification does not belong to the scope of compulsory certification in the United States, it is highly recognized in the United States because of its early development. Therefore, if you want relevant products to sell well in the United States, it is very necessary to do UL certification.
UL Underwriters Laboratories, founded in 1894, is mainly involved in the inspection of public safety products such as electrical, electronic equipment, mechanical products, lamps, building materials, fire-proof equipment and chemicals. Most products sold in the U.S. market have UL certification or ETL certification, and are accepted by consumers at the same time. Therefore, generally, products related to electricity can apply for UL certification. UL Mark is a recognized safety certification mark in the United States and North America. Products with this mark are equivalent to obtaining a safety quality credit card, and its reputation has been accepted by the majority of consumers. Therefore, UL Mark has become a special pass for relevant products (especially electromechanical products) to enter the U.S. and North American markets.
